Visage Ellemore Ring Sling & Woven Wrap

Tester Reviews

Hayley - size 6 wrap

Natty lovers unite! Visage Ellemore is classy, elegant, soft, silk smelling deliciousness. This wrap is quite unlike anything else I have tried before. It has a beautiful shimmer that is very hard to capture on camera, but in real life is so luxurious to behold. Ellemore arrived to me in loom state and was already thin and soft, but after a wash it was satiny smooth and seemed much heavier. There is no need for breaking in with this wrap, it’s ready to go from first wear.

I tried a standard FWCC with Ellemore, and it was very easy to slip bub in and tie off due to the silk sheen. It moulds to bub very well and the passes glide beautifully. However, this slipperiness also made it easier for my little leaner to create a fair bit of slack on the top rail, requiring me to tighten and re-tie a couple of times. I ended up with an Anne’s finish and this helped the carry considerably. I also wore bub in a ruck but again there was a bit of slip and sag happening after a while, so we switched to a Tibetan tie off and this was more comfortable.

I would recommend Ellemore as a perfect squish through to 12 month wrap for those with some baby wearing experience. New wrappers or those with heavier wearees may find the lack of texture challenging.

Natalie - size 6 wrap Wow. Stunning. Just stunning. When I received this I was instantly blown away with how beautiful it was. It’s an elegant looking wrap. It’s got a gorgeous silky shimmer to it. But what got me really excited was when I took a big whiff... ahh that heavenly silky smell. The smell reminded me a bit of Gosling Chambray.

I put Missy straight up in a Front Wrap Cross Carry. This was her first time in a woven wrap, so it was a bit of a learning curve for me. I found it to be an ideal thickness for a newborn. I wouldn’t say it is as thin as Fuse Embers but it’s not as thick as Dendros. Visage Ellemore was effortless to tighten as the silky sheen gives a good amount of glide. It moulded over her little body beautifully.

The only thing I was a little disappointed with is the lack of grip as the pattern doesn’t provide much grip. I didn’t think there was too much stretch to it. I don’t believe it has much recoil as I didn’t get the hug back feeling I’ve gotten in other wraps.

Ted decided he also wanted to go up so I quickly rucked him. He was nice and comfortable for a whole 5 minutes. Then the thrashing started. Due to the lack of grip he ended up creating slack and in turn made it uncomfortable. I put him up in a reinforced ruck with CCCB and while that felt more comfortable it still slipped a bit (I would have loved to try this in a double hammock).

If you are a silk lover, want something that will last you a while (in saying this if you want to wrap an older or heavier child (10kgs plus) go for a double layer), or looking for the perfect natty, then this is for you. If you find the silk smell overwhelming or find yourself loving thicker, grippier wraps then maybe sit this one out.
