There has been a huge shift globally with reducing waste, up cycling, recycling etc. Our children are getting involved and making wiser choices too and we really need to be leading by example. As a business I strive to reduce plastic by changing our satchels, up cycling our fabric offcuts and loose threads ( I have cushions all over the house now.) Another change I am making and cutting back on what is necessary when it comes to packaging. Ankalia will continue to use Hero Packaging mailers and where possible you will see old satchels being re-used. I encourage you to do the same on your end. Brochures and thank you cards will also be discontinued. With a few upgrades to the website, all information will be there with just the click of a button.

Ankalia has teamed up with Kanga Australia! Yep you heard me right! This is super exciting as Australia’s leading manufacturer of baby carriers and supporting parents in getting active whilst wearing their baby. Stacey, from Kanga Australia, and I have been talking heaps about some custom designed carriers and we are excited to be working with Elizabeth Close, Aboriginal Artist, and Tanya Kalantary to create a custom design for the team and their participants. New buckle carriers are in the works with a few ideas that have been floating around in my head. Thicker waist foam, no waist foam, wrap arm straps, half buckles, more full buckles. So much! These will be rolling out over the next 12 months.
