Poppies Lea Woven Wrap
Poppies has been in the making for awhile as I wanted something different when it came to a flower I love. This floral is striking with the shades of emerald green wool and tencel. I wont lie, this wrap is elegant and warm and charming. It has a weight to it that comforts you so it’s honestly the perfect wrap for winter.

When selecting what size wrap to purchase it is important to consider what type of carry you would like to do, as well as what size you and your baby are. In general your base size is good for a Front Wrap Cross Carry as seen in our My Wrap section. Please read our instructions on how to do a basic carry and safety guidelines before you start wrapping. Here is some information on how to work out your base size. HERE

Our woven wraps are made from all natural fibres and, with few exceptions, are as easy to care for as your regular household laundry. Firstly, you must look over your woven before washing for the first time. We ask you to look for any weaving flaws that we may have missed along the way. If you are un-happy with your carrier then please contact us. Your woven wrap will arrive to you in what is called “loom state”. Therefore, it is very important that you wash and iron your ring sling before use. This sets the weave, removes any residue and will fluff up your wrap to make it soft and smooshy.
Wash your woven wrap first in one cold wash on a medium spin, and on gentle cycle for subsequent washing. We do not recommend the use of colour catchers with any textiles. Tumble dry on low. Ironing is strongly encouraged to prevent premature wear at the rails and other highly creased areas.
It is normal for your woven wrap to shrink in the first wash. We have taken into account shrinkage when we have cut and hemmed our wraps.
Pros: This wrap is luxury with its weight, drape and shine. Effortless tightening but not slippy. Good for beginner wrappers. Cons: I’ve found cons difficult to find for Poppies! Poppies Lea got a lot of love while we had it here for testing. While the wrap is weighty in hand it is not thick. A double hammock was our go to carry (as it is typically) and it was very easy to get the chest pass tight and the double layers in place. Despite its ease of tightening, it did not slip or sag with wear. A well tightened FWCC was also nice and supportive even for a longer wear. My 18mo wearee is a petite 10kgs but I do have picky shoulders. The wrap job remained solid and comfortable. Poppies Lea is a fantastic all rounder wrap that requires no breaking in. This review reads glowingly but there is a lot to love about this wrap.
Wow! That green is something special! An almost Emerald green wool with Aqua coloured tencel gives an amazing shimmer and shine to this wrap. It is the same blend as Pinnacle Persimmon but feels more weighty and drapey in hand (the percentages are possibly different!). Wraps well with excellent cush and molded around my almost 4 month old perfectly. There was no sag, even when wearing for an hour or so and it was comfortable on my shoulders. The wraps glides into place and is easy to wrap with, pleading itself on the shoulders. I found no itch from the wool either and wearing on a hot day was easy. My big kid came up in a Front Wrap Cross Carry with spread passes and although he didn’t stay up for long, it was comfortable on my shoulders and he felt well supported with three layers over him. This wrap would easily carry a newborn through to toddlers due to the wool content, with the right carry of course.
