Review from Natalie
Size: 6(Base Size-ish) Wrapee: 6kg 3 month old & 15kg 2 year old Carries: Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC) and shepherds carry.
I received this wrap in loom state. I was surprised how beastly it was, in my mind anything with tencel in it is usually soft and floppy. I admit, I was a little disheartened as my toddler isn’t worn frequently anymore.
After a wash and iron, it softened a little and the texture popped; my tactile senses were really pleased. I love how textured this wrap is and I didn’t feel the sparkle thread.
I first popped Little Ru up in a FWCC, while I was tightening the wrap, I could hear the wrap tightening with the passes being pulled over each other. I had never heard that before. Personally, I found it a bit too thick and overwhelming for her little body. The wrap still tightened well and I didn’t find the grip prevented tightening the wrap.
While this wrap was at my house, I had the opportunity to wrap my big boy. He is 2.5 years old and 15kgs. It rocked a shepherds. He was up for about 25 minutes while we took some photos and got some jobs done. My shoulders did not once cry out and neither did my back. I was pleasantly surprised. It was so comfortable on my shoulders. Once tied off the wrap it did not budge. It remained rock solid even when he started to protest.
I wouldn’t recommend this wrap for a wee babe as it’s a beast. It will require time to break in. After a wash, iron, multiple uses and braiding it, I can feel it softening up. Even my mother in law commented how much softer it was after I had been using it.
I believe it would be good for babies 4 months plus. It reminded me of a rougher Karem, it has a spongy like quality but it is beastly like Mako Laguna. comfortable on shoulders for longer wears.
If you like thick toddler wraps, monochrome & sparkle then this is for you.
If you do not like wraps that require breaking in or you want something that is thin then sit this one out.
When selecting what size wrap to purchase it is important to consider what type of carry you would like to do, as well as what size you and your baby are. In general your base size is good for a Front Wrap Cross Carry as seen in our My Wrap section. Please read our instructions on how to do a basic carry and safety guidelines before you start wrapping. Here is some information on how to work out your base size. HERE

Our woven wraps are made from all natural fibres and, with few exceptions, are as easy to care for as your regular household laundry. Firstly, you must look over your woven before washing for the first time. We ask you to look for any weaving flaws that we may have missed along the way. If you are un-happy with your carrier then please contact us. Your woven wrap will arrive to you in what is called “loom state”. Therefore, it is very important that you wash and iron your ring sling before use. This sets the weave, removes any residue and will fluff up your wrap to make it soft and smooshy.
Wash your woven wrap first in one cold wash on a medium spin, and on gentle cycle for subsequent washing. We do not recommend the use of colour catchers with any textiles. Tumble dry on low. Ironing is strongly encouraged to prevent premature wear at the rails and other highly creased areas.
It is normal for your woven wrap to shrink in the first wash. We have taken into account shrinkage when we have cut and hemmed our wraps.
