Lumos Maxima Woven Wrap
Lumos is back and this time with navy, black and grey really making this design pop. Supportive for newborns through to preschoolers, Maxima is a great all rounder. If you are after a wrap that will last you for those super long one cycle naps (Oh gosh if only they went longer) then Maxima will support you all the way. And hopefully you can then resettle for that extra cycle. Goodluck!
Made from 100% cotton.

When selecting what size wrap to purchase it is important to consider what type of carry you would like to do, as well as what size you and your baby are. In general your base size is good for a Front Wrap Cross Carry as seen in our My Wrap section. Please read our instructions on how to do a basic carry and safety guidelines before you start wrapping. Here is some information on how to work out your base size. HERE

Our woven wraps are made from all natural fibres and, with few exceptions, are as easy to care for as your regular household laundry. Firstly, you must look over your woven before washing for the first time. We ask you to look for any weaving flaws that we may have missed along the way. If you are un-happy with your carrier then please contact us. Your woven wrap will arrive to you in what is called “loom state”. Therefore, it is very important that you wash and iron your ring sling before use. This sets the weave, removes any residue and will fluff up your wrap to make it soft and smooshy.
Wash your woven wrap first in one cold wash on a medium spin, and on gentle cycle for subsequent washing. We do not recommend the use of colour catchers with any textiles. Tumble dry on low. Ironing is strongly encouraged to prevent premature wear at the rails and other highly creased areas.
It is normal for your woven wrap to shrink in the first wash. We have taken into account shrinkage when we have cut and hemmed our wraps.
Wearee: 12 months, 10kg Lumos Maxima – the sorcery from Ankalia’s design team just keeps coming! This gorgeous wrap is the more softly spoken, lighter version of the beastly Soleum. Maxima has the addition of a lovely steely blue to the black and grey pattern – the perfect winter staple. As well as being a great wrap, this fabric is going to make some amazing accessories. It’s cowl and cushion weather people! Maxima came to me in loom state. From first wear it was relatively soft for a medium thick, textured cotton wrap, and quite drapey, though I believe it won’t take a great deal of work to break in fully. There is not a lot of stretch in the fabric but it still managed to mould fairly well to my big baby and gave great support. The big plus for me with this wrap was the amount of texture and cush that it provided – getting passes to glide easily was a little tricky but it held my wriggly wrappee fast with ease and my shoulders were really comfortable with a DH for over an hour. A FWCC was equally as comfy and stuck fast. Maxima would make a great all rounder – good for babies 3 months + and toddlers alike, and for those who like easy care, strong, textured wraps. If you have a squish and want to use this one from loom, or you like glide, it may not be for you.
Lumos Maxima! For maximum lightness, the magic of this wrap has cast its spell on me. Lumos was on its way to being well worn in when it arrived here. It is one of the more comfier wraps I’ve tried recently. The texture of the pattern makes for delicious cush, and it shapes well to your wearee. Moldable and grippy, Lumos is a great go to spell, uh, I mean wrap. With Mr 11kg I found it extremely comfortable for longer wears, even with a single layer carry out and about with higher levels of activity. It even stayed solid as a rock during a wrap nap. I love how the grip holds this wrap, and the work to get it there is worth it. I reckon this would be a decent all rounder for smaller babies up to toddlers.
